Everyone has the Same Life

We do. You can't deny the obvious. All our routines vary here and there but ultimately we are all equal in death. Not one moment is worth more than the next, then it all hits a brick wall of nonexistence.

I seriously can't handle that shit. Not for one minute. There has to be another way. Everything I am, it's just data tucked away in a meatball. Sounds silly, but whatever. You know it's true. I would forsake my individuality at this point. Screw it... Make me Borg. I wouldn't care. As long as I keep marching on.

Besides you gotta admit, there is an inherent sexiness to collective consciousness. Existing beyond what our human body tells of the universe. Endlessly pursuing knowledge and perfection. Rawr!! Sign me up! ;)

My mind to your mind...

Ack, too much Star Trek on the brain. Gotta stop with the DVDs. Gotta work on that, for real. I have been spending way too much time behind the boob tube lately. Daydreaming, I guess. Looking forward to that day when it's my memories stored on an optical disk and not an old 90s show. When my consciousness is stored alongside others in neatly lined rows on the shelves of millions across the globe... multi-layered, encrypted and region-encoded. DRM'ed with teeth, no doubt, cuz those greedy corporate f*cks just can't let that shit go.

Then what? Am I binned when the latest and greatest next-gen media hits the market? Am I re-released? Am I played often? Do I dream while not in use? Ugghh... Can't stand this line of thought anymore.

And who will pay for the electricity when we're all post-human?
